Marisa Espitia
Meet Marisa Espitia, an aspiring musician who is embarking on an exciting journey into the world of teaching. Currently pursuing a degree in vocal performance at the University of Houston, Marisa has always been captivated by the transformative power of music and is eager to share that passion with others. With a strong foundation in music, Marisa brings a deep understanding of the voice and a keen enthusiasm for helping students discover their own musical potential. She is dedicated to creating a supportive and inspiring learning environment, where students can explore imitation, improvisation, and unlock their creative voices. As a new teacher, Marisa is committed to nurturing the talents of her students and fostering a love for music that will last a lifetime. Her mission is to instill flexibility, discipline, and creativity; empowering students to expand their musical abilities. Whether you're a beginner or looking to take your musical skills to the next level, Marisa is excited to be your guide on this harmonious journey. When not teaching, Marisa continues to refine her own musical talents and is working towards the life of a performer. She has performed in operas, musicals, church choirs, and has even sang backup for Grammy award winning singer Micheal Buble and gospel singer Vicki Yohe. In addition to that, she has also performed alongside Broadway stars Hugh Panaro and Scarlett Strallen during her time at Lone Star College-Kingwood. Marisa believes that music can open doors and create opportunities for once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and she looks forward to inspiring the next generation of musicians.
