This group collaborates again this year.  During the pandemic school year, we have learned that creative virtual projects can be a lot of fun, and they can connect people who live in different cities!  We are planning to have a field trip in the spring and meet in person!

    Rachel Wadler

    Ms. Wadler is a Kindergarten - 5th grade General Music teacher at Travis Elementary in Houston ISD. She has been teaching music for the past thirteen years, with six years at Travis Elementary. Ms. Wadler is a native Houstonian and started playing cello at the age of 7 and attended the prestigious High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Ms. Wadler continued her musical journey and graduated with a Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Miami, Florida. Go ‘Canes!  When she is not teaching, Ms. Wadler performs with the renowned Texas Medical Center Orchestra. She enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Bentley and Daisy, her nieces (Ava and Julia) and nephew (Robert).

    Owen Duggan

    Owen Duggan holds degrees in music theory, voice, and applied music from McGill University (Montreal), University of North Texas (Denton), and University of Texas at Austin respectively. Duggan is accomplished in voice, composition, and conducting, in a wide variety of music at the professional level, and he has performed with major arts organizations in San Antonio and abroad. He has taught at the San Antonio Academy for 16 years, as well as having taught at San Antonio College, Our Lady of the Lake University, and University of Texas at San Antonio. He currently serves as Music Director at SAA, Northwood Presbyterian Church, and Musica Sacra San Antonio.As a singer-songwriter, arranger, and co-producer he has produced 4 CDs. His original choral music has been published by Colla Voce Music, and he also owns and operates his own production and publishing company. In 2008 he signed a distribution contract with MRI Entertainment (SONY RED). His numerous awards include medals from Parent’s Choice Foundation and National Parenting Products Association. Owen’s original music can be heard on Spotify, YouTube, and Pandora.
